    Great experience. Well done.

From there the show does crank up a notch and you can’t help but have a smile on your face as you laugh at and with the unfolding menagerie of incongruously staged scenes that spark and clank to life here and there in no clear order or logic. The final scenario is also a bit of a long haul however a distinct awareness of 'something about to happen' ...certainly hangs in the air.

Ned Kelly’s last stand animated show is what happens when Ned Kelly meets crazy circus side show meets opulence meets tacky meets Mickey Mouse meets Bob Hempel (proprietor) and Jessie (grandson)...all of these things are rolled in together making it a curious, polarising and disconcerting romp though one man’s passion project.

Ned Kelly’s last stand is old world fun and (most) kids are going to get a kick out of it and certainly never forget it.

See it to say you have done it , see it again if you loved it, laugh out loud , cry at the expense, whatever, … just don’t ask for your money back as you may have to go through it all again backwards. Keep firing Bob, and I hope Jessie carrys on the dream and takes this to the next level in the future.

Walking through both of the extremely elaborate and extravagant Disney laden showcased rooms of both Bob and Jessie just adds to the baffling bizarreness of the total experience, not sure I really needed this but kind of interesting in an unavoidable way.

The involved displays are peppered with very rudimental animatronics and are sometimes very gross, confronting but ultimately a breath of fresh air in a sometimes to painfully politically correct world.

I would strongly advise Bob to cut the first scene or part of the show by way more than half, it’s a lovely idea to create a device that journeys the participants back in time but this concept is totally lost in practice by a protracted mish mash of dialogue and pregnant pauses that boarders on punishing, Not great when paying a premium price for tickets, it’s just way to long and misdirected.

If you're cruising the Hume pull in here for a break. Great place. Make sure you goto the popcorn shop too.

People are going to both love and hate Ned Kelly’s last stand animated show but ultimately, I think it’s a precious gem that needs to be preserved forever, it will be a sad day if the faux gunfire and bell ringing are silenced forever on Gladstone Street. Anyone who can only criticize this or would like to see it closed are just helping to kill off an increasingly rare form of entertainment experience. For a younger generation this attraction will sit bravely far outside of the usual screen media/cgi solution that is so often the ‘easy out’ for such things today.

Was a great experience loved every minute of the show and the people running it were great.

Last stand of Ned Kelly - automatically speaks its significance. Just a quick exit from Hume highway between Melbourne and Sydney. Try to visit next time you're driving. Please there are some good local shops if you want to try some great food run by friendly people.

I have to note is was very disappointing to see Bob Hempel bag the other Glenrowan museum in a recent SBS interview with the comment they have "Nothing, not a thing". The reality is the Ned Kelly’s last stand animated show has the historical significance of a Mc Donald’s happy meal while the 'other’ museum has a substantial collection, very authentic displays, information and exhibits. Well worth a look for only a token fee. The thing is they should work together, one is serious and informative and one works as an up market carnival show. Bob needs to acknowledge this and support the other worthwhile attractions in the area to the benefit of all.
